Guides to Preparing ETH for Vip Land Presale
Hello, Melanders.
The VIP Land Presale will start soon on December 28th. You need ETH on Polygon to buy lands at the presale.
The land is limited, and there are only 250 spots available under FCFS rules, so you should have enough ammunition to grab the right plot!
Here are some tutorials to help you move your digital assets from other main networks to Polygon.
💡 This guide is easiest to follow on the web browser.
Outline:

1. Buy ETH on CEX(Centralized exchange)

  • Buy Matic on CEX(Centralized exchange) like Binance
  • Withdrawal on the Polygon (Matic) Network to your Polygon Wallet
  • Swap Matic for ETH directly on your Metamask wallet or on DEX like Quickswap(Polygon)
  • And you are all set 🎉
Tips: Please arrange the operation as early as possible. After the funds are purchased, some exchanges may have T+1 trading restrictions.

2. Buy ETH on DEX(Decentralized Exchange)

You can also buy ETH from DEX (Decentralized Exchange) like Uniswap (Ethereum), Quickswap (Polygon), Pancakeswap (BSC), etc.
Please follow the tutorials shown below to set up your Metamask wallet and then swap your digital assets for ETH.
If you are from Uniswap(You can also buy ETH from DEX (Decentralized Exchange) like Uniswap (Ethereum), Quickswap (Polygon), Pancakeswap (BSC), etc.Ethereum) or Pancakeswap (BSC), please follow the bridge tutorials in section 3 or section 4.

After buying ETH, please follow the bridge tutorial in section 4 to transfer your ETH from Etherm to Polygon.
💡 Tips: If you are new to Uniswap, plz read this tutorial first for How to buy tokens.

3. Transfer ETH from BSC to Polygon

Due to the insufficient eth liquidity on Multichain, it is currently impossible to successfully transfer eth from the BSC network to the Polygon network.
We recommend using Cbridge's cross-chain bridge solution.
The following is a simple tutorial.
  • Then, connect your MetaMask wallet (note the switch to the BSC network)
  • Follow the diagram below to select the ETH on BSC and select the Polygon network
  • Finally, click the "Transfer" button to complete the exchange.
  • And you are all set 🎉

4. Transfer ETH from Etherm to Polygon

To login to the Polygon Web Wallet, you need to access the following URL: https://wallet.polygon.technology/.
Once you connect your account with the Web Wallet, you will be taken to the landing page with various means. And then choose the "Polygon Bridge".
You can see the selected bridge type in "Transfer Mode". You can change the "Transfer Mode" if you want to deposit your funds on a particular bridge type(PoS or Plasma).
Transfer mode will be enabled based on the selected token
Once you have entered the amount that you want to deposit and selected the Bridge type, you can click on the "Transfer" button.
After clicking on the "Transfer" button, you need to click on the "Continue" button in the "Important (Deposit Disclaimer)" popup.
Once you click "Continue" from the "Important" popup, you will see a "Transfer Overview" popup with the information of the estimation of total gas required for the transaction.
Click on the "Continue" button from the "Transfer Overview" popup, and you will see a popup opening, similar to the previous one, where you can review your transaction details.
Click on the "Continue" button from the "Confirm Transfer" popup.
After you click on the “Continue” button, you need to confirm all your transactions in your MetaMask to make the transaction successful.
Once you confirm the transaction, you will see a "Transfer in Progress" popup, which will show you the Deposit status. It will take ~7-8 minutes for the tokens to show up on Polygon.
You can close the "Transfer in Progress" popup, and you can see the transaction in the "Action required" section on the header component. Click on the "Action Required" link from the header.
You can see the details on the transaction itself. Click on the latest transaction to see the "Transfer In progress" popup. Once the Deposit transaction is successful, the transaction status changes to "Success".
Note: You can view the successful transactions after “Transfer in Progress/Action required” transactions in the “Action Required” popup. Click on the Deposit success transaction to see the “Transfer Completed” popup.
